Elements of Attaining Vitality and Zen Mind
“When you have attained a heightened state of mind, you will have a sense of tranquility, joy, and inner peace,
yet you will be mentally sharp and fresh at all times.”
– Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Many people do not realize that in order to achieve a Zen Mind – to feel tranquility, inner peace and joy – one must first have an abundance of vitality. Vitality, a result of good energy flow, helps clear irrelevant thoughts and keep the mind fresh, hallmarks of Zen Mind. With vitality and mental clarity, we enjoy life to the fullest. From something as simple as reading a book to more demanding tasks such as critical thinking, physical work or sports. With a Zen Mind, we navigate everyday challenges easily and effortlessly – make better judgements and solve complicated problems efficiently.

Grandmaster Wong is an excellent example of living a life of vitality and Zen Mind. He takes the time to enjoy and celebrate life's simple things – for instance, eating ice cream or taking the scenic route – while at the ripe age of 71, he can fly across the world and arrive mentally fresh, relaxed and full of energy to teach an all-day class.

In this course, Grandmaster Wong, will share his secret. He will teach exercises and transmit internal skills that are simple, direct and effective. Participants will experience the Zen Mind, learn how to develop it and apply it in daily life. This is an advanced course and requires participants to have previously taken a course from Grandmaster Wong or from one of Shaolin Wahnam Certified Instructors. New students must first take either “Essence of Healing and Cleansing” or “Flow of Taijiquan”.

Flow of Taijiquan
“Taijiquan is not a dance, but an internal art for health, combat and spiritual cultivation.”
– Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Many practitioners do not realize that genuine Taijiquan is a highly effective martial art. Although often performed slowly and “softly”, when properly practiced and applied correctly, it can be fast and powerful. The secret is internal energy flow. Energy flow and internal force developed in Taijiquan makes practitioners powerful as martial artists, but one doesn't have to be a fighter to enjoy these amazing benefits. Taijiquan keeps us healthy, agile and full of vitality.

In this course, Grandmaster Wong will focus on the internal flow of Taijiquan. This is a great course for beginners to start their training but also an excellent course for intermediate and advanced practitioners to further deepen their skills.

Main objectives of the course:
- Basics of Stances and Movement
- Flowing in Movement (Grasping Sparrow's Tail Sequence)
- Develop Internal Force through Flow
